The Use of Biotechnology to Improve Agriculture in Sindh, Pakistan The climate of Sindh is conducive for growing a variety of crops. Biotechnology can improve agricultural production in the area by introducing genetically engineered crops, tissue culture and crop diversification. A varied range of Bt crops like maize, rice, tomato, potato and others can be produced with enhanced nutritional content, resistance to diseases, pest attacks, drought and salinity.
