Pakistan to start importing Indian cotton Cultivation of Bt cotton coupled with increase in acreage is likely to substantially increase cotton yield in India this year. However, the cotton production in Pakistan is likely to fall short of the targeted 15 billion bales. Mian Habib Ullah, director of D.M. Textile Mills, informed that Pakistan is likely to import cotton from India this year given that it is of good quality and the reasonable price.
